Last week’s Senior Sports Day
Simply marvellous. Well done.

TGGS Common Room
The Girls’ School Common Room will be closed due to exams from Friday onwards.

Leavers’ Photograph
The photograph is now on show in Sixth Form Reception.  Copies can be ordered from Mrs Lidbetter (cheques payable to TBGS or use debit/credit card facility in the Main Reception).  Orders placed after Friday 23rd May will incur a surcharge imposed by the company for administration, so don’t delay.

Leavers’ Barbecue
Well-behaved Year 13 boys are welcome to attend the Leavers’ Barbecue at the Girls’ School at lunchtime on Friday 23rd May as long as they buy a ticket by the end of school this Friday. Tickets can be bought for £3 from Mrs Lidbetter at Sixth Form Reception.

Leavers’ Ball
Leavers’ Ball tickets will be available from TGGS Sixth Form from Wednesday (price tbc).

Year 13 Book Returns
The standard procedure for Year 13 students is to return books before or immediately after the final exam in any given subject. Books which have not been returned must be paid for. It is only fair to warn everyone that exams results will not be given out until all books (including library books) have been returned or paid for.

Year 12 Return Date
The first day back after exam leave is Monday 16th June. Normal lessons (A2 courses) will begin at TBGS on this day, although TGGS lessons will not start until Monday 23rd June.

Year 12 Lessons after the Exams
Please remember that everyone is expected to continue their A Level subjects until they know their results in August, when they will be in a fully informed position about which subject, if any, to drop.  If you believe that you’re an exception to this rule then see Mr Kosmaczewski.

Top tips for utilising the time between the last exam and the end of exam leave
Visit universities, develop a passionate interest in hobbies, read voraciously.

Spring, oh spring
Spring has sprung and the smell of summer is in the air. The Bulletin applauds Chaucer’s sentiments:
“Zephirus eek with his swete breeth
Inspired hath in every holt and heeth
  The tendre croppes “.
It would be hateful to contradict Chaucer’s contention that “smale foweles maken melodye” and the Bulletin is not prepared to do so. The urge to frolic among the daisies is understandably strong.

Nevertheless resist this urge fiercely. Revision notes are your only friends. For you life is circumscribed by the corners of the page and the point of your pen. Now get on with it.
