To develop the options available to Students in the coming years, TBGS has applied to the IBO to become an approved centre to teach the International Baccalaureate Diploma. The official statement is below.
Torquay Boys’ Grammar School has become a candidate school* for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. This school is, therefore, pursuing authorisation as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Torquay Boys’ believes is important for our students.
*Only schools authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) as IB World Schools can offer any of its three academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), or the Diploma Programme. Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorisation will be granted.
