Parents' Association and Parent Council
When your son joins TBGS, as parents you are also joining a community, and the school's parent association and parent council, is at the heart of it.
Unlike most parents’ associations the TBGS P.A. is not a fund-raising group as the School’s Charitable Trust fulfills that important role. The primary function of the P.A. is to organise social events where parents can meet and enjoy themselves. Helping out at events is totally optional.
The aim of the P.C. is to give parents the opportunity to discuss with the Head teacher, members of staff and Governors, any issues or matters of concern that may arise regarding either the individual pupil or the school in general. It really is a great way to find out more about the school and has proven to be most beneficial to those attending the meetings
Who are we and when do we meet?

We are a group of parents made up of 2 members from each year group that allows parents unable to attend meetings to have a year specific contact point. We meet once every half term.
What do we do?
Our aims
- · To bring parents together in a social environment
- · Provide support and organizational input to major school events,
- · Channel parents views on school policy issues to the Head teacher and staff
- · Contribute to school web site
- · Provide expertise and advice to short and long term projects
Our aim is to get as many parents involved in TBGS activities as possible. This need not mean ongoing commitment of your time. By coming along to one of our social events you are not only having fun and meeting new friends but to help and support the school and your son during his time at TBGS.
