Kieran's Fund
In the spring of 2011 Kieran Brookes, a Year 10 student at Torquay Boys’ Grammar School, tragically lost his life following an accident whilst on a ski trip with the school.
The staff and pupils, with the permission of Kieran’s parents, decided to set up a fund, ‘Kieran’s Fund’, in his memory.
The purpose of ‘Kieran’s Fund’ is to raise money which can then be used within the whole school community to help fund worthy causes within the school and also to help students who, for financial reasons, are struggling to take a full part in school activities.
The fund will also provide an annual prize which will be awarded at speech day to a student recognising a specific achievement.
The fund will be held within Torquay Boys’ Grammar School accounts and will be administrated by the Finance Director at the school.
Expenditure from the Fund will be at the discretion of a small committee comprising the Chair of Governors, Vice Chair of Governors and the Head teacher.
The committee will be advised by Mr & Mrs Brookes.
Anybody wishing to make a donation to the fund are asked to make payment via the Link Below. Please use 'Kieran's Fund' as the reference for your donation. Thank you.
