6th Form Open Day
The date of next year's Sixth Form Open Evening is Wednesday 13th January 2010.
On Wednesday 13th January Torquay Boys’ Grammar School is holding its Sixth Form Open Evening, beginning at 7pm in the Cavanna Centenary Hall. Male and female students and their parents are invited to come along to learn more about the post-16 options on offer. There are two alternative routes: A Levels or the International Baccalaureate Diploma, the IB being open to girls as well as boys. The options will be fully explained at the Open Evening. They are also outlined on www.tbgs.co.uk (follow the 6th form links).
The Sixth Form at Torquay Boys’ Grammar School has a proven track record of exceptional academic performance and was rated ‘outstanding’ in every category in the latest Ofsted inspection. Expectations of students are high and the pace of lessons is demanding, but the rewards are also great: a large proportion of students secure places at the best universities every year. The facilities are excellent and continuously improving. Moreover, students overwhelmingly enjoy their experience in the Sixth Form. The atmosphere is friendly and supportive and there is a wealth of extra-curricular opportunities. Torquay Boys’ works closely with Torquay Girls’ Grammar School next door: study and social facilities, as well as some lessons, are mixed.
