Controlled Assessment: Vietnam
|
![]() |
This unit of study will focus on the Vietnam War. Key issues will include American motives for involvement, tactics of the Vietcong and protest against the war in the USA.
‘Controlled Assessment’ is coursework undertaken in controlled examination-like conditions. Pupils will know the questions and sources they have to deal with a couple of weeks in advance, and have a chance to create a set of notes which they are permitted to use during the assessment. It differs from old style ‘coursework’ in that pupils are not permitted to take in a draft.
