Japanese is offered to Year 12 students from Torquay Boys' Grammar School and Torquay Grammar School for Girls as a taster course done during Year 12 on two hours a week.  At the end of the course, the students take ASSET Languages assessments at the level they are at. 

It is very popular among our students.  They really enjoy learning this language and about the Japanese culture.

Japanese is also offered at Ab Initio for International Baccalaureate studies in the Sixth Form.

The lessons are taken by Mrs Makiko Caul, who is a native teacher.
