Language Assistants

Torquay Boys' Grammar School students have the opportunity to practise their language speaking skills with the Language Assistants.

We have four Language Assistants: German, French, Chinese and Spanish. 

The French, German and Spanish Assistants come to Torquay Boys' Grammar School for eight months, from October until May and the Chinese Assistant comes from September until June. They have 12 hours contact time per week and on Fridays they attend a Languages Assistant course at Exeter University.

Having Language Assistants is very beneficial for the students as they have the opportunity to practise the language learnt in the lessons in pairs or small groups.
