Borrowing Procedures

Years 7 - 11  - A maximum of 3 items on loan at any one time, for up to 2 weeks.

Years 12 and 13 A maximum of 3 items on loan at any one time for up to 4 weeks.

Please carry your Library Card with you at all times, as NO books/resources will be issued without it. Should you lose your card, please notify the IT department as soon as possible, as you are responsible for all books/resources issued on your card.

When you borrow a resource from the Library each item will be stamped by the Librarian, with the date it should be returned. PLEASE try to return all borrowed items to a Librarian on time - do NOT just leave your items on the desk. Should you damage or lose an item, please tell a Librarian as soon as possible.

If an items is not returned on time you will begin to incur a fine:

The charge will be 5p per school day for each resource.

There is a 5 day grace period, however from Day 6, ALL overdue school days will become payable.

Should you want to borrow the resource for a longer period (perhaps you have not finished reading it) then please see a Librarian who will be happy to re-issue the resource.It is in your interest to return resources BEFORE they become overdue.

Reservations

If the book you want/need is not available then please see a Librarian who will place a reservation for you.
