Source Study: Protest in the 20th century

This unit requires pupils to look critically at primary source evidence to assess how the Government has responded to protests in the 20th century and why. Key themes will be what tactics did protestors use, the role of the media and measures by the government to restore order. The four case studies for this unit are:
v Suffragettes
v General Strike
v Miners Strike
v Poll tax riots
Pupils will take a 1 ¼ hour source skills paper at the end of year 10.
