Year 7 Trip to Occombe Farm

Year 7 boys visited Occombe Farm this week as part of their Geography lessons.

They enjoyed a farm trail, including a visit to the bird hide and duck pond in the cider orchard. There were also exhibits on farming methods, old and new, and on the importance of the role of organic farming. Several traditional breeds were there, such as Berkshire pigs and Ruby Red Cattle.

The boys enjoyed their visit – one even wanted to take a pig home! The farm shop, with its delicious organic food ensured the boys did not go home hungry.
