Language Assistants

Torquay Boys' Grammar School students have the opportunity to practise their language speaking skills with the Language Assistants.

We have three Language Assistants: German, French and Spanish. We are also very lucky to have Mrs Lyudmila Danilyuk, who comes into school to give our students who study Russian speaking practice in preparation for their GCSE and A Level Examinations.

Assistants come to Torquay Boys' Grammar School for eight months, from October until May. They have 12 hours contact time per week and on Fridays they attend a Languages Assistant course at Exeter University.

Having Language Assistants is very beneficial for the students as they have the opportunity to practise the language learnt in the lessons in pairs or small groups.
