The current Spanish Department started at Torquay Boys' Grammar School in September 2000 and 2006 – 2007 is the first year to see Spanish in all Year groups with students coming from Year 7 with Spanish.

The Spanish Department is a vibrant one with very dedicated teachers who endeavour to give all students the best possible experience at learning this exciting language.

Spanish School 2007 Award

Torquay Boys' Grammar School has won the Award for all the work done to promote Spanish among our students. This competition is run by the Spanish Embassy in London. The Award Ceremony will take place on 30 th November 2007 in Manchester and the Award will be presented by the Spanish Ambassador.

This year there are 30 students studying Spanish in Year 12.
