‘The Future’s Bright………… The Future’s Green

In Goodrington House you will feel part of our community, where each student has a role to play and feels comfortable and safe in a positive, supportive learning environment. There is a strong team ethos within the House and this is demonstrated both in and out of the classroom. Supporting each other during lessons, as well as in the numerous House competitions and events is essential and expected. During the year there are opportunities to represent Goodrington House in quiz, chess, public speaking, poetry, spelling, swimming, football, badminton, basketball, rugby, x-country, tennis, cricket and many other activities, and it is our expectation that maximum effort is given and support and commitment offered, both to fellow students and the House. Every Goodrington student has a contribution to make in order to help us build a strong and competitive team that is both supportive and hungry for victory.

There is a strong sense of commitment to communities beyond our school gates and as such we have supported ‘Children with Cancer’ for the last 5 years. Thousands of pounds have been raised by the students via a school disco, cake sales, sports competitions, Expressive Arts evening, Xmas fun-run, Goodrington House citizenship week, Valentine’s Day Roses and many other events all of which have been inspired and organised by the students themselves.

In Goodrington House we encourage respect, commitment, endeavour, responsibility and honesty, as we believe they are the foundations for an outstanding student. After all our motto is ‘Success Through Endeavour’.  Our standards are high and all Goodrington House students are expected to look their best, try their hardest and treat others with respect; this will be our ultimate recipe for success.

Whether your a student, parent or teacher please enjoy you time in Goodrington House!

‘Once a green, always a green’
